Students can write short sentences and paragraphs in Chinese on familiar topics.
Grammar
Students can use simple grammatical patterns, including negation (e.g., 不, 没有), questions with 吗, 什么, 谁, and common time expressions (e.g., 今天, 明天).
Culture
Students acquire deeper knowledge of Chinese customs, including the use of formal and informal language.

Students know how to find and use dictionaries and supplementary materials appropriate for their level online.
