Between 30-31 October 2018 Tallinn Development and Training Centre (TDTC) in co-operation with the Tallinn city transport office organised an introductory tour of Tallinn by a delegation from Rezekne (Latvia).
The aim of the tour was for the Latvians to find out how free public transport in Tallinn was organised. The visitors were introduced to the work of the Transport office, where its chief Andres Harjo gave an overview of the organisation of transport in the city.
Meanwhile, Allan Alaküla, Tallinn’s EU representative familiarise the guests with Tallinn’s five-year-old free public transport system. The Rezekne delegation visited (Tallinna Linnatransport) (TLT) the public limited company set up to run the city’s buses trams and trolley buses.
At the beginning of December, Tallinn will return the favour with a delegation visiting Rezekne. Rezekne also had free public transport.
