Tallinn Training and Development Centre (TDTC) invited from December 01st to December 04th 2016 four journalists to Tallinn to cover the Christmas Fair and publicise Tallinn in their respective countries.
The journalists worked for print and online portals in Germany, Ukraine, Turkey and Ireland.
TDTC had arranged a full program of events for them to experience Estonian culture, history and cuisine which included a tour of the Christmas market in Raekoja Square a walking tour of the Old Town by an accredit guide, a Handicraft Fair at the Song Festival grounds, the Open Air Museum with the focus being the Seto Houses.
The group were exposed to Estonian high culture at the Opera House where they watched the Nutcracker ballet, at the Culture Hub where they watched a JazzKaar concert and KUMU in Kadrioru Park. The group discovered Estonian cuisine both old and new.
The journalists gave very positive feedback and published stories on their Estonian winter experience to a keen readership
