The foundation Tallinn Development and Training Centre (TDTC) organized a visit for the 3- member delegation from Uganda in Tallinn from 01.07-08.07.2014. The delegation included the Minister of State of the Ugandan Ministry of Public Services Sezi Mbaguta Prisca Bessy, the Mayor of Mukono and the president of the Uganda Urban Authorities Association Johnson Muyanja and Head of Department of HRD at the Ugandan Ministry of Public Services Kyarisiima Jane Mwesiga, who is also the coordinator from the Ugandan side for the developmental co- operation project between the City of Tallinn and Uganda. The guests from Uganda met with the Estonian Foreign Ministry’s Development Co-Operation and Humanitarian Aid bureau’s desk officer Reigo Ginter and other high officials from the Ministry, with whom they discussed the implementation of the developmental project up to the present moment and opportunities of future cooperation. The guests had a meeting with the Mayor of Tallinn Edgar Savisaar and City Secretary Toomas Sepp, where they discussed the continuation of the developmental project between The City of Tallinn and Uganda. Both sides also discussed the possible visit of the Mayor of Tallinn to Uganda at the end of October 2014 and further possible areas of cooperation in collaboration between the City of Tallinn and towns of Uganda. The high officials from Uganda visited tourist information centers of Tallinn and met with the leaders of TDTC. The guests visited the newly opened showroom of e-Estonia, Tallinn Botanic Garden, Tallinn TV Tower and of course the Old Town of Tallinn. The members of the Ugandan delegation also participated as guests of the City of Tallinn in the XXVI Estonian Song Celebration and XIX Dance Celebration „Touched by Time“, where they took part in the festive parade of the celebrations. The meetings and participation in the XXVI Estonian Song Celebration and XIX Dance Celebration organized by TDTC left the members of the Ugandan delegation with deep and bright impressions. The Minister of State of Uganda assured that every effort is made for the developmental co- operation’s successful implementation and for the start of the follow-up project.
